2) Installation

What do you need?

    • PHP-enabled web server
    • Remote server
    • Local testing environment

NOTE: Set up the local server then remote server as it easier and quicker way to learn and develop.

  • Install a web server on a local machine.
  • Install PHP.
  • Install a database, such as MySQL.

You can get the installation instruction from official website (PHP.net)

Script Editor:

PHP is written in a plain text like HTML or CSS so any text editor will work fine, however, make sure your text editor must have

  • Syntax Checker.
  • Syntax coloring.
  • PHP code hints.
  • Line Numbering.
  • Check braces feature.

You can use: sublime, phpstorm 9
